            Despite a national downturn in the real estate market, Point Lookout is still faring exceptionally well, inspiring us to provide our family and friends with a new update that defies the downward pricing trend in other communities.

Although the 2007 market saw a decline in the number of homes sold for the year, 25 in all, prices continued to remain high in this south shore sea-side community, with seven of those homes ranging from $1-million to nearly $2-million.

Of the seven homes sold in the $1-million and over category, five of them were sold by Hug Real Estate, Point Lookout’s NUMBER ONE real estate brokerage. Once again, the continued strong price range of homes here in our sea-side enclave can be attributed to our location, contiguous to the Atlantic Ocean on the south, Jones Inlet on the east and Reynolds Channel to the north.  It provides residents with unlimited boating and fishing activities, private beach access and a plethora of outdoor recreational opportunities
